profile Walking by faith is something easy to say, but hard to do especially when things don't go as planned. But we try all the same, and I'm no exception. This blog is in some ways cathartic, in others a means for me to pen my thoughts and struggles as I walk this life and learn to trust God more with each passing day. tag archives May 2004 June 2004 July 2004 August 2004 September 2004 October 2004 November 2004 December 2004 January 2005 February 2005 March 2005 April 2005 May 2005 June 2005 July 2005 August 2005 September 2005 October 2005 November 2005 December 2005 January 2006 February 2006 March 2006 April 2006 May 2006 June 2006 July 2006 August 2006 September 2006 October 2006 November 2006 December 2006 January 2007 February 2007 March 2007 April 2007 May 2007 June 2007 July 2007 August 2007 September 2007 October 2007 November 2007 December 2007 January 2008 February 2008 March 2008 April 2008 May 2008 June 2008 July 2008 August 2008 October 2008 November 2008 December 2008 January 2009 February 2009 March 2009 April 2009 May 2009 June 2009 July 2009 August 2009 October 2009 November 2009 December 2009 friends and credits skin by: Jane |

in His time At our weekly prayer meeting yesterday in a tiny group study room at the school of business we sang this song... In His time, in His time, He makes all things beautiful, in His time, Lord, please show me everyday, As You're teaching me Your way, That You do just what You say, in Your time. The lyrics were really simple, but in many ways it struck a chord in me. Everyday I see clearer why I ended up in SMU, and everyday I praise God for it. Saturday, October 20, 2007 @ 11:34 PM
'Twas much, that man was made like God before, But that God should be made like man, much more. John Donne, 'Holy Sonnet 15' What a beautiful verse. I miss literature! Friday, October 12, 2007 @ 10:25 AM
recess week! Which is really just non-teaching week, because i've mid terms for contract law, 2 written projects and 1 presentation, all due next week. AHHH! I miss you mel! Both of us are largely dependent on facebook in keeping contact (my wall is bombarded with her super long paragraphs haha) and somehow I get excited when I think about 4 years later - we might be practising in the same firm! We are going to JAPAN this december! Plus nick who is not in the picture. Despite the 19837489 things we had to do this week we managed to find time to celebrate Russell's birthday! A couple of days ago a few of us had a long talk with our criminal law prof rathna about things ranging from religion to davinder singh to school, and she shared with us her university experience at warrick - that it was the best time of her life, and should be ours too. Never in our lives will we have freedom to such an extent, without the major responsibilities that come with earning your own keep, and exuberance for life. When she said that I took a second to reflect on how I'm doing. Without Eunice and Russ, I doubt my ability to keep sane in the whole pile of privity and the elected presidency and what have you. Still amazed at how blessed I have been to have friends like that 2 months into school. :) That said, back to Alfred MacAlpine v. Panatown. It is times like this I really identify with Shakespeare. The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. Just kidding. I love what I doing. Really. ;) Sunday, October 07, 2007 @ 1:06 AM
First presentation in SMU, and it was on the Elected Presidency! To add effect we decided to dress like PAP members and do the wave after our presentation. Adora (in black) was the purported 'speaker of parliament' so she needn't wear all white but aiya it was just an excuse. ;) ![]() Thank God! ![]() For our creative thinking presentation the past week we wore tagline tees! On Ethan's was 'I need a good hand' (don't really understand, he said I shouldn't know too much also), Arden's was 'Your daughter is in good hands' (he said he didn't dare wear it after buying it, haha!), Eunice's was 'Are you stalking me? If you are, I think it's kinda cute' and mine was 'I lost my telephone number, can I have yours?' - nothing to do with the topic we were on though, we presented on how creativity can be nurtured from freeing the mind and we transformed a classroom into what's inside our brains. ![]() Bit overdue, but here's the entire law school at camp! Whoosh. University is such an experience. Such an experience. |
