Closure

The peer leader training camp (pltc) was pretty good.

Learnt lotsa cheers, did a gazillion cheers and now my voice is darned sexy.

I bet if I were in the phone hotline business I would receive loads of calls. ;)

But anyway..

Today's the last day of the year, and I guess I should just round it all up. Here are this year's events and stuff that I'm most likely to remember for... a lifetime.

Event #1 ~ C'est La Vie 04

I can't describe how much this concert meant to me. The preparation time may be short, but heck, it sure had a big impact. I was never that busy and frantic before! Juggling homework and costumes and props and what have you.. and seeing the end product --- if this isn't memorable, I don't know what is.

Event #2 ~ The passing-outs

The CSSSC (part of it)

Stepping down from the choir and the student council. 4 years of participation and effort finally came to a happy ending. *contented sigh*

Event #3 ~ Rapache

I LURVE RAPACHE!! Bwaha.

Sorry peeps if I sorta drifted away due to choir outings and family outings this holiday... No matter what you all still have a special place in my heart.

Kinda corny la but who cares.

Event #4 ~ Exams

2004 is officially exam year. I have never in my 16 years of existence encountered so many exams before. *shudder*

Event #5 ~ Graduation

Rapache

4/2

Commonwealth is officially my past! Graduation Day was a mark of the end of my service and presence in the school as a student in blue. It was sad, but everything has an ending.

Bo bian.

*no choice

Event #6 ~ Farewells

Maybe these were recent and that's why I put them here. Anyhow, they were fun. And memorable.

Event #7 ~ Prom

Rapache... again!

Getting into a frenzy over the dress, the make-up, the shoes, the hair... To think of it, so much effort was put into something that lasted merely a night!

But.. must look glam ma, so never mind. ;)

Event #8 ~ Nana...

She got to know this guy, and she might probably be leaving Singapore for good soon.

For 14 years I have lived with her and now she's leaving...

I think I'm gonna cry buckets when that happens.

Event #9 ~ Last Sunday's Tsunami

Click here for the animated guide to the disaster

The whole entire world will remember this, that's for sure.

Do pray for the victims and survivors..

Event #10 ~ My loved ones are still here.

As cliched and as corny as this may sound, my family and friends are still with me this year, and I'm very thankful for that.

Some of my friends aren't that fortunate, though... =(

* * *

That's all.

2004 will be over in a matter of hours, and it sure has been one helluva year.

Not to mention that school is starting in 2 days. -_-

Must enjoy like MAD these two days.Ta-ta!!

Christmas in a car

Dad rented a car on Christmas for a biggie family outing.

So we sorta combed the whole island, which was... nostalgic.

First stop was Toa Payoh, where my popo (grandma) used to live.

Got kinda pissed when I saw this.

THEY DESTROYED THE PLAYGROUND!!!!

Boohoo.

When I was little I spent most of my Sundays in my popo's house, and me and my cousins never fail run across the carpark to the playground. Then we'd play and play and play until someone shouts for us to come back for dinner.

But now the huge dino and the poles are GONE!!! Boo.

Fast forward to dinner, where we went to East Coast for some seafood.

I live for seafood. *yum*

The place was darned good! Sitting on comfy chairs beside the sea and eating crabs ..

I think I am going to drool.

On my way back I passed this tree, which was decorated for Christmas.

If you ask me, it was better meant for Halloween.

lalala.. Am going for the peer leader camp this week, so no blogging then!

Don't miss me.

To Sentosa! (part 2)

Okay so after we left Sentosa the day before yesterday our stomachs were growling like mad.

We headed to Bugis, planning to eat a huge dinner at Seoul Garden.

But realised that we'd have to pay 22 bucks.

Like... which middle-incomed 15/16 year old would pay 22 bucks for a meal??! Siao.

So we back-tracked and went to Pastamania instead.

Which was pretty good by the way!

*gasp* Too much cheese, daahhling...

I said too much cheeesee!!! Still put!! %$#@%##!!..

Yumm..

See that smiley face? Let's zoom in on it.

Ta-da!!! Yuhan's masterpiece.

We FINISHED this whole container of cheese!!

Amazing.

Some with huge appetites sitting with us too...Mandric, for example.

Before.

During.

After. *burp*

Walked out of the restaurant and saw the chefs cooking deliiciousss pasta. Then we started oohing and ahhing over their skills, to much of their delight. We saw one of them smiling, you see...

How could we forget the neoprints??!

Us busy choosing..

And this is what I got!

#1: happy sha la la~

#2: *gasp* NAN DAO MO FEI SUO YI RAN??!! (just some gibberish la)

#3: hee.

#4: Nice tongues there.

#5: lalala..

#6: *sulk*

#7: Smile!~

No more..

On the way home in the MRT we sat around and had another talking session, which ended up in me forgetting to take my guitar from kenneth when I changed trains.

Ah, well.

Had a fantabulous time, and I'd have to agree with cj that much of the happy times I spent in CSS were with the choir com. Love you guys!~

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone!! =D

To Sentosa! (part 1)

Yesterday's outing to sunny Sentosa with my choir pals was FANTABULOUS!!

The weather was fine (most of the day), the company was great... I couldn't ask for more!! ;)

Note: I posted loads of pictures, so do be patient while they load! (right-click and click on Show Picture/refresh if they cannot be seen)

Reached the visitor arrival centre at about 10am, yakking away...

US!!~ So colourful eh?

We chopped places (typical Singaporeans, I know) at a nice shady shelter and placed our mats on the soft sand.. You know, sometimes when you go out with a bunch of people, one of them always say the same thing? Like a pet phrase?

Well kenneth ng had many yesterday.

kenneth: "LAST ONE WHO REACHES THE SHELTER IS A ZHUUU!!" (Zhu is pig)

all of us: "Aiyo, JI SUI LIAO??" (Aiyo, how old already??)

And he would be left with nothing to say.

Another one...

kenneth: (legs buried in sand) "Here comes... QIAN KUN DA MO YI!!!!!!"

I have absolutely no idea what that meant.

But then after shouting that he would run with his legs buried in the sand so that sand flys all around him, as if he had some super power --- something like in those immortals had in chinese shows.

And poor yinsing was the victim, running around the the shelter screaming 'cos crazy kenneth was chasing her using qian kun da mo yi.

Damn, it was friggin' HiLaRiOuS!!

The bunch of us played some beginners' volleyball and just look at that big BALL this other group had!!!

It was darned HOT!! Less than 10 mins playing under the sun and we sweated like pigs on treadmills.

But fun nonetheless!

Laopo (yuhan) and trixia ~

Laopo and yinsing dying to get the cute snoopy ball!

Not really dying la.

Then.. Time out!! We all sat on the "court" we set up and started fooling around...

HOW TO DISCOVER A BURIED BALL

#1: Spot a bump on the sand and run to it. With both hands, feel the bump to ascertain if a ball might be hidden.

#2: Gently, slowly, part the sand with two hands. When you see part of the ball, shriek in delight.

#3: Ta-da!!! The ball is discovered!!

Okay I shall stop crapping.

Ate the delicious fruits CuiJing brought from home to replenish our energy lost from too much laughing and running for the snoopy ball.. Thanks Cj!!

Also ate the totally-fab pancakes kenneth home-made from scratch!! *gasp*

Never guessed that someone who practised qian kun da mo yi would know how to cook.

Anyway, thanks kn!!

Got really full as result, so we chilled on the mat and talked for a pretty long time..

It felt real good, to talk about anything and everything in the shade with the waves arriving gently on the shore.

Well I was talking to the rest, when laopo (yuhan) snapped a shot of this lovey-dovey couple.

Humph, I also can, she thought and..

grabbed the nearest person. ( which happens to be cj)

Sigh. You didn't know that, did ya? *wink*

Love is in the air!~

No la I'm kidding!! Really.

This one ain't a joke, though. ;)

Played around with the sand..

Yes, yinsing, I know..

Our declaration.

Nice feet.

Cj and mandy (mandric) trying something out...

And.. SUCCESS!!

smile~

smile more~

Me and janet feeling like kings of the rock!

Laopo getting worried about her tan. Too red or not??!

Hey, why only schumann is muscle man ah?

Now that's better.

Mandy ~ da MAN!

The girls wanted to get on the huge rock to take a picture, and we were so happy that laopo could get up the rock!! Cheerios to her!

Babes in action~

Reviving the munchkin spirit in Silver Raindrops~

The guys also wanted to take a picture. Note their rapid transformations.

From macho men..

To pretty girls.

0_0

Kenneth and Royston feeling like koala bears for a moment.

US again!~

Mandy spotted a hermit crab in this tiny shell and all of us surrounded it and tried to coax it to come out.

We sprayed seawater on it...

Talked to it...

Sang to it...

Left it on the floor and waited..

To not much avail. Sigh.

After cleaning up janet and I headed back to our shelter, and realised that our snoopy ball and another ball which belonged to a group of korean guys were stuck high up on a coconut tree.

Turned out our ball was stuck first, and the korean guys tried to help us get it down by throwing their ball upwards towards ours --- but theirs got stuck too!

They retrieved a long pole from a construction site nearby, and got the balls down!

In a way it was heart-warming to see different nationalities helping each other out. Throughout we kept shouting, " KAMPATEI!!" and now to think of it, it was kinda funny. =)

Cj ran over to take a picture with them.. (the snoopy ball belonged to her, you see)

And realised one of the guys looked like a movie star.

DOESN"T HE?!!? *faint*

Cj, being cj, went mad with ecstacy and decided to give him a name --- Jun Jyn.

In the monorail:

Mandy: "CuiJing CuiJing!!! There!! It's him!! Jun Jyn leh!!!"

Cj: "HUH??!!! *scramble to window* WHERE???!!!!??"

Mandy: "Kidding la."

Cj: *killer stare*

Some other pictures here..

Laopo and Cj~

So hot ah!! Can't see. Must look down.

*snore*

Laopo and mandy~

Fans of Jay.

Yea, baby!!

Laopo's arm! See the super-visible tan line? I have one too. BLEAH

From left: Trixia, yuhan, mandric, yinsing, cuijing, royston, kenneth, schumann and me. Janet took the picture!

Phew. What a tiring entry.

Stay tuned to part 2 of the choir outing!

Let me digress a little before I end, though.

This is Rusky, laopo's doggie. SO CUTE HOR??!!!!

He's blind in one eye; laopo had him for 12 years!!

I'm in love. With her dog.

Tuesday, December 21, 2004 @ 9:32 PM

Let's see. Today's date is...

December 21, 2004.

*heart skips a beat*

Hang on.

3 Jan - Dec 21 = 12 days

HUH?!! 12 friggin' days till school starts??!!??

I think the screw of the axis which spins the earth around is loose.

I think the earth is spinning wayyy too fast.

I am SO unwilling to wear the blue uniform again.

SO unwilling to wake up at 6am.

SO unwilling to squeeze with commuters on the bendy.

SO unwilling... to do everything I did before the holidays.

*grumblegrumble*

But a part of me is kinda anticipating JC life.

Yaya call me crazy.

Can you stay?

2004 is officially the year of farewells for me. So many times I have had to tell myself "All good things have to come to an end", and I guess yesterday was the final time I did so.

The farewell for Mrs Ong was great, though! =D

Was initially asked to go early and help with the deco, but I couldn't cos a mountain of chores was waiting for me at home.

Bleahz.

Anyhow I reached the school hall at 5pm and the programme started; lotsa singing and speeches...

The present committee singing..I love the background deco with the pretty sunflower~

Then we had dinner in the canteen.

SMILE!!

Edmund and Mr Kwei ~ Don't they just look like father and son?!!

Followed by gift presentations to mrs ong and random singing from the audience...

Mrs Ong!!

Throughout the picture-takings Edmund felt sad.

He always had to stand at the front, and he longed to stand behind.

*ting*

I GOT AN IDEA!!! He thought.

So...

He crept behind, and waited for the perfect time.

Photographer: "Okay look here!! One, two, ---"

He JUMPED!!!

But failed.

He tried again.

"One, two ---"

JUMP!!!

SUCCESS!!!! *overwhelming applause*

This shows us that one must never give up because nothing is impossible. 0_0

Shit-a-vuar!!! (ignore this if you don't get it)

Edmund got tired of jumping.

Mrs Ong never taught me in class, but somehow I feel she has been my class mentor all these years in CSS. Her distinct voice, infectious laughter, one-of-a-kind hairstyle and endless care and concern for us students will always remain etched in my heart.

LOVE YA, Mrs Ong!!!

All That!

Remember the album I was busy with? Well it's almost complete; I'm still developing a couple of pictures and if I calculate correctly (it's been a long time since I even thought of differentiation. Ew.) the album should be finished...by late december. Muaha.

*yawn* Just awoke from a 1 and 1/2 hour nap.

I was so friggin' tired from running like a mad constipated chicken around the tennis court this morning.

My arms feel like they are made of lead. *lift arms to no avail*

But.. it was fun! Tennis, that is.

* * *

I am currently watching nickelodeon's All That, which is a kid's programme that features really talented young actors. It is darned lame and sometimes I laugh out loud because it is too lame.

For example.

Guest sits on a chair in the middle of a large room. Interviewer is a deep, sexy voice who will introduce the guest to the audience.

Deep sexy voice: "Know your stars... know your stars!! With... Shane lion..." (know your stars is title of show)

Deep sexy voice, "Shane lion... loves to go roller skating every weekend!!"

Shane lion, "Er... no. Actually I prefer basketball. Yup. Every Friday."

Deep sexy voice, "Shane lion... before he gets dressed, he butters his pants..."

Shane lion, "Heyheyhey that's not true!! I DO NOT butter my pants. Okay I admit there was once, but that's because they were too tight and I was late for school!!!"

Deep sexy voice ignores shane and continues, "Shane lion...can stuff 17 oranges up his nose at one time..."

Shane lion is frustrated. He clutches his head, "Th-that is absolutely NOT TRUE!!! I DO NOT stuff oranges up my nose. Period."

Deep sexy voice, "Shane lion... secretly tattles on the students in his school..."

Shane lion is pissed. He opens his eyes wide, " NOO!! Hey, who are you? You KNOW I'm gonna get beaten up at school. Why you evil little --"

Deep sexy voice, "Now you know.. shane lion!!" *maniac laughter*

Shane lion screams " NO THEY DON'T!!! Who are you??!! Come out here??!! I DO NOT stuff oranges up my nose, I DO NOT tattle on the students at school, I do ---"

Deep sexy voice, "Byeeee, Shane....."

-end of segment-

I am sure you felt like banging your head against the wall.

Well I did when I first saw the 1/2 hour programme. When life gets kinda mundane (which is now) All That is just what I need to spice things up.

The show makes me appreciate the normal life I lead.

Weird fact of the day: Do you know that in the past girls used to cut off their har and then make knots with it and attach it to a note and send the whole package to their lovers? It's supposed to symbol undying love.

I sure hope girls then kept their hair free of dandruff. ^^

Chopsticks

The foodcourt near my house is giving me the goosebumps.

I have been eating there every friggin' day, I feel like pinching the vendors on their faces when I see them.

So that they may cook something different, ya know?!

Sorry but i have to change the subject.

Gao Ling Feng *swoon* (you think?)

I am staring at the tv open-mouthed because GaoGao is acting up again. HE IS SHAKING HIS ARSE SO VIGOROUSLY and singing RAN SHAO BA!!! RAN SHAO BA!! TUO NIAO!! (be on fire, be on fire, birdie!! - whatever that means.

Imagine a 50++ man holding the mic stand and jiggling his fat tummy 20 times per second. *clutching my head and shaking it* NooOo!!

Come to think of it, perhaps he (Mr.Gao) dyed the front part of his hair red to resemble a tuo niao more?

Back to the subject.

So today I was at the foodcourt as usual eating economical rice - by the way the vendor at that stall looks kinda like Orlando Bloom! (kinda only ah) But I am not swooning. Because somehow a chinese version of Bloom doesn't appeal - and there was this Caucasian family who came to sit at the table next to us.

Yaya I know this is the year 2004 and long gone were the times where people practically worshipped the angmohs, but I couldn't help but took a look at them.

At a second look they were eating noodles with chopsticks and I guess they were first-timers, because the way they held the chopsticks was weird.

Like the way one holds a rock and throws it into the sea to create miserable puddles.

A part of me felt like pushing back my chair and yelling courageously, "Let ME show you the proper way to hold chopsticks!!!" *i go over, grab their chopsticks and hold it my way*

A ray of golden light shines all around me.

OOO!! AHHH!!

*in an english accent* the angmoh says in wonder, "Oh so that's how you hold chopsticks!! Oh, oh, oh!!! Thank you for enlighteni --

Okay xiaohui just shuddup.

The bigger part of me thought it better to seal my mouth and continue eating my food.

Well..maybe in the long run, these Caucasians will learn the beauty of holding a pair of foodcourt chopsticks, and can even catch a stinkin' fly with one!! Without my help.

Hell I don't even know if I myself am holding chopsticks the right way all my life.

Better head to my grandma's next door to learn a thing or two. Soon.

Busy Busy!!

Phew. These few days I have been busy collating all pictures and nitty gritties from my 4 years in Commonwealth, and putting them into a huge album.

The result?

One helluva messy room.

But I don't really mind la, actually.

Because ten years down the road when I'm feeling bored or pissed off at my boss for docking my pay I can open up the album and reminisce about the happy times I spent at Commonwealth. =D

Dum dee dum... will post pictures of the finished album soon!

Wa see... Huness??

Wa see Huness!! Wa see Huness!! ( I am Huness, in Hokkien)

Okay la if you are not yinsing, royston or schumann I don't think you'll find the above funny.

But it's okay! One finds humor in different places. ;)

Today I headed to town with, well, yinsing, royston, schumann and kenneth, and I think it was more of a laughing session rather than a searching-for-a-present-for-Mrs.Ong session. *laugh*

I can't type out what we laughed about here, because the jokes will lose their essence and it would most probably seem lame than funny.

But we did get a present after all!! We certainly hope she'll like it...

Anyway, I'm currently watching My Fair Princess 3 on Channel 8, and am sniggering at how dramatic the actors can get.

(in Chinese)

Xiaoyanzi cries bitterly and says, " IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!! *sobsobsobsobsob* AL-sniff-ALL MY FAULT... *sobsobsobsob*"

Ziwei cries out, "No.. it's MI-sniff-NE!! It has nothing to do with you! You are not at fault! IT'S MY FAULT!! *sobsobsobsobsob*"

Then after shifting the blame from one person to the other a million times either Erkang or Yongqi will say some cheem words of wisdom and everyone agrees it isn't anyone's fault someone died, but some work of fate or whatsoever.

Nonetheless, the show still attracts. Pretty faces, (although not as pretty as previous seasons) flowery language and nice imperial costumes... it's worth the watch, to a certain extent.

Ah, well. Is it me, or the programmes on tv nowadays aren't as entertaining as before?

Leaving's not the only way to go.

I've never mentioned this here before, so here goes:

I LOVE the CSS CHOIR. Last night was the time I realised that the choir was the one and only school activity that I've held closest to my heart.

Singing together as one, going on trips and going on Scooby Doo rides in Movieworld umpteen times, watching the toilet pipes in Janet's room burst at one of the hotels in Genting where we had our international choral competition, practising like mad for the SYF until I almost dreamt of demons creeping up to me and chanting "DAEMON!!! DAEMON!!", rehearsing for Silver Raindrops, organising events with the choir committee, playing around, getting scolded and having fun... added up to one helluva united and dynamic choir.

On Tuesday whilst packing my stuff for the farewell camp, I was kinda excited. For the past two farewells I have been performing and organising for the then- graduating choir members, but now I'm a graduating member. Oh my.

So... the camp was actually only for the sec 3 and 4 committee members, so we sec 4s just played the whole day whilst the poor sec 3s buzzed around the school preparing for the next day's activities and dinner.

Then you wonder what we could possibly play in school. *raise eyebrows*

We watched White Chicks on DVD and stuffed ourselves with bags and bags of Mamee and Chicken Rings. The show totally changed how I felt about Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles, too. *grin*

Next. Four bamboo sticks and a deck of playing cards were all that were required. Firstly, we exercised a bit by doing some bamboo dancing!! Four people held opposing ends of the bamboo sticks, then opened and closed the sticks with rhythm. The other four persons put their legs in and out, in and out between the sticks in rhythm.

Ours was pretty successful considering it was our first time. Poor Alison got her toes stuck in between once, though. Pain!!!

Secondly, we did the LIMBO ROCK!! *come on, shake shake*

Thirdly, we played murderer and heart attack with our deck of cards.

All these took... I don't know how long. We started the movie at about 9pm, and played till almost 2am.

At 6am the next morning the sec 3's handphone alarms started ringing and they started work again. (they worked till about 2am the previous night) Their committment to doing their best was amazing.

Camp started, and we played all day. It was the best fun I've had after the Os. STACCATO (the group I was in) ROCKS!!! The end product? A wound on my knee, several bruises but one happy me. ;)

We took some rest in the Music Room. Man, those feet stank. Mine inclusive! Ew.

Alison and myself suffered from minor wounds. Together!! We were running like mad to get this miserable ping-pong ball and crashed into each other. Darn the ping-pong ball.

The beautifully decorated hall. Great job, committee!!!

Then came the farewell nite "I'm Dreamin' of A White Christmas"! Fantastic performances, especially by the sec 1s. I think I can gush on and on about their performances. It was great, so good, so on pitch, totally the bes --

Okay la I think I better not.

Then we had picture-taking! (Names from left to right)

Mr Toh and Yin Sing. Ahem.

Mr Toh and me.

Qing Piao Piao aka Tiffany aka Kenneth and Mr Toh.

Britney aka Royston, Mr Toh and Schumann.

Me and Mr Quek.

Mr Quek and Alison.

Me and Tiffany.

Alison and Qing Piao Piao.

The Big Four: Me, Yinsing, Alison and Cui Jing at the bottom.

Mrs Ong and me.

Reuuuuuben and me.

YinSing and Sharon.

Kornelius.

Tiffany, Cui Jing and Britney.

Cui Jing, YinSing and me at the bottom. Isn't the snowman just so cool??!! The committee did it. Nice!!

Cui Jing. Don't be sad, girl...

Lao Po aka Yu Han and Royston.

Kenneth and YuHan.

Yuhan, me and Yen Yu.

Uh-oh. Let's see... Okay some of the sec 1s here with us. ;)

The ex-committee doing a Bao Qing Tian.

The ex-committee: Schumann, Me, CuiJing, YinSing, Kenneth, Alison, Janet, Royston. Dewei and XingFeng not there, though..

Fantastic. Simply amazing. The farewell camp was a huge success and really touched me. Who cares if not all the sec 4s turned up? It was their loss. It's quality, not quantity anyway. *wink* Thank you to everyone who gave me gifts; big or small, all were beautiful!! Thanks!!

That's about it. Should I say it again?

I LOVE the CSS CHOIR. =D

Bags? No thanks..

Last night I almost had a dream.

I was in a room filled with bags of all brands and sizes, and I couldn't breathe. The bags were far too many. They were enveloping me, drowning me... NOOOOOO!!!

Volunteer work never seemed that nightmarish. At 3.30am yesterday we (Angela, Joanna, Joanne, Sean and Aunt Jenny) were at the Padang getting ready for work at the Standard Chartered Marathon. We were part of the Baggage Crew, and were supposed to handle the participants' bags.

Ah. Should be pretty simple eh? Bags only what...

At about 630 they starting streaming in. And whoa, they were a sight. Some really good-looking ones, some ah peks, some like you and me... came with their bags, and deposited them at the shelves in the huge tent we were in.

The downside? Two persons in charge of nearly a thousand bags. The worse part was how the heck we were going to return them their bags after the race. You see, each participant had a number, e.g. 5091. Their bags had the same number tag attached. So when they came back for their bags, we had to refer to their number and then search for the bag that has the same number tag. Amongst a thousand other bags with different numbers.

I almost had stars in my eyes!! To make things easier we asked for their bag's description. Several participants, well, had weird memory.

"So how does your bag look like?"

"Um... it is purple."

Then I searched far and wide for a purple bag with the right number. Hell it was frustrating. Then I dug out a bag with the number!! Yay!!

Except that the bag was obviously blue in colour. Hmm.

Teamwork and lots of running back and forth finally paid off and we could go at about 1 in the afternoon. *relieved sigh* You cannot imagine how tired we all were.

But of course this was nothing compared to the marathon runners who ran a whopping 42km!! (Running 2.4km almost TWENTY TIMES?? -- that's about SIXTY rounds around the school and the track!!! Unbelievable.) Cheerios to their daring to even go for that event! =D

Did I regret volunteering? I... don't think so. At least I did something other than rotting at home. It was tiring, nonetheless, but still a good experience. (cliche, cliche..) Maybe I will go again next year!! But NO MORE BAGS this time. I swear. *shudder*

Tennis, kbox and missing nana

After merely two lessons of tennis at the cck stadium, I'm beginning to love the sport. Not because of the pretty outfits that one gets to wear, but because it involves a huge amount of focus and body movements, unlike badminton where my whole arm swells after a game.

Okay la I am exaggerating.

Lessons are two-hourly, so by the end of it we are practically roasted. It is HORRIBLY hot. =/

Anyway, today after tennis I rushed down to kbox at Jurong to join my choir pals. You see, singing is the one and only activity that choir members thoroughly enjoy.

What did the guys sing? Ah. I didn't know they had triple-language talent!

Royston and Kenneth did... Korean ballads!!! *cheers* And also some booty shaking to their theme song "Sexy Naughty Bitchy Me" by Tata Young!! *more cheers*

Sing sing sing, laugh laugh laugh... and it was over. Then we shot off to Lot 1 for a bit of picture taking, and then here I am at home.

Sigh. Ever since Nana (my maid for 14 years - 14 years!!! Can you believe it? She is almost my second mum) went back home to the Phillippines the house seems a bit empty. Not to mention a bit dirty too.

My sis and I kinda miss her already. Wherever she is, we certainly hope she is safe and sound... and comes back soon.

Prom 2004

My piano teacher was looking through the prom pix on my cam when she said in chinese,

"Wa... your school people really know how to look glam eh?"

Really? Let's see...

R-A-P-A-C-H-E

Part of the now-defunct choir committee.

Part of the now-defunct ex-cos as well. ;)

lalala...

I swear we saw a cockroach. Seriously.

For joanna!

I think I'd have to agree with my teacher. ;)

I had fun! A bit kuku reaching the hotel at 2pm to do our makeup and hair, though. Then at 630 when everyone streamed in, my eyes had a feast! Everyone looked hell good and it was nice to see something else other then the same old blue on the sec4s.

Programmes were nothing new.. but still fun nonetheless. ;) Like prom king and queen! Being the nice girls that we are (muaha) the rapacherians voted for every contestant. And gwen and weijie won! Hurray!

The night ended really quickly though. Shucks. Sorry I can't post all of the pix cos my com is darned slow.

Now that the highlight of the post- o level period is over, I feel sort of... empty.

But all is not lost! I still have the choir farewell camp *grin*, tennis classes, volunteer work, and lots of telly programmes to catch up with.

AND TAUFIK WON!!!!! My votes have not gone to waste. =D

But...

Boredom is a creature that creeps up to you unknowingly. It is evil. It is cunning. It tempts you; Its skinny, wrinkled fingers reaching out to you at your most vulnerable, leading you to the brown tiles of your kitchen, to the grey, innocent box that stores the most sinful products on earth...

Junk food.

AhHh! I can feel the fats accumulating.

Haiya. Whatever.

Back to the heavenly durians Mum and Dad bought home. WO LAI LE!!! Yummy!!
